On November 21, the Tretyakov Gallery will present a new exhibition in Pavilion 1 "Tsentralny" at VDNKh in Moscow. This was announced by the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin in his Telegram-channel on Sunday, November 17.

The official noted that the exhibition of masterpieces of domestic art of XX-XXI centuries will be the first cultural event after the restoration of the historic building, which was carried out within the framework of the program "Revival of VDNKh". The exhibits are connected with the history and time of construction of the pavilion "Central", the names of artists who worked at VDNH in the 1950s, reports the agency of city news "Moscow".

In particular, there will be presented works of both Soviet masters and modern artists, writes RIAMO.

Sobyanin stressed that when creating the exhibition, special attention was paid to monumental and sculptural works, including paintings and mosaics dedicated to labor and patriotism, and the famous composition "Worker and Kolkhoznitsa" by Vera Mukhina, reports "Moscow 24". The exhibition will work until September 2025, notes IA Regnum.

At the end of October in the Tretyakov Gallery opened the exhibition "Peredvizhniki". It is devoted to the art of Russian artists of the second half of the XIX century.

In August, the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery was replenished with the works of Vladimir Volk, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. The Gallery received 17 paintings and sculptures of the master as a gift. Representative of the Tretyakov Gallery Natalia Sidorova noted that this artist is part of the turbulent process of the last quarter of the twentieth century, reports 360.ru.
