A tanker traveling from Russia caused a stop of ship traffic in the Bosphorus

The Panama-flagged oil tanker Nazan, sailing from Russia, caused a stop in the Bosporus. This was reported by the Turkish Coast Guard Directorate on November 17.
"Our tugs were immediately sent to the scene of the incident with the tanker Nazan 114 meters long, which had a rudder failure off the coast of Kandilli," - informed the press service of the agency in the network X (former Twitter).
It is specified that the vessel that broke down in the Bosporus Strait was traveling from Russia to Kocaeli.
Earlier, on August 25, the tanker Sredina, traveling from Russia to Libya under the flag of Panama, broke down in the Bosporus. The 171-meter vessel suffered an engine malfunction. As a result, the passage of ships through the strait in both directions was temporarily blocked.
