The government is being asked to increase the limits on family mortgages. As "Izvestia" found out, an appeal with such a request was sent to the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Mikhail Mishustin by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing Vladimir Koshelev, the head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs and a number of other parliamentarians.

"We have long said that solving the housing issue directly affects the demography of our country. A family with two or three children needs a three-room apartment, and it now costs much more than 6 million rubles. Young parents and families with many children are unable to afford such a difference without government support. And I consider talk about the economic inexpediency of such assistance to be harmful. After all, we are talking about the future of the country, and investments in human capital have always been the most reliable," Vladimir Koshelev explained to "Izvestia" the need to increase the limits.

It is very important not only to increase the limits for the implementation of the program, but also to direct these funds in a targeted manner - to help those who really need them, said Yaroslav Nilov.

"This is important because we generally support the Central Bank's policy of fighting inflation, but our young people should have a real chance to buy their own housing to have children. This should be an absolute priority for us! Family mortgage for young people is very necessary, and it should not affect inflation in any way, if you make clear criteria and subsequent control over the issuance that there was no abuse," explained another author of the appeal, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Financial Market Arkady Svistunov.
