Russian Armed Forces shot down two AFU aerial bombs in the Kursk border area


Russian servicemen have intercepted two aerial bombs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kursk border region. This was reported by the head of the region Alexei Smirnov on November 17.
"Two guided aerial bombs of the AFU have been shot down in the border areas of the Kursk region. I thank our air defense fighters!" - wrote the governor in his Telegram channel.
There were no official reports on this from the Russian Defense Ministry.
Earlier in the day, Russia's Armed Forces ( AF) prevented an AFU breakthrough in the Olgovskaya Grove area in Kursk region. As a result, the Russian military killed more than 80 nationalists. About 40 AFU fighters were wounded, another 24 were taken prisoner.
In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the AFU had lost more than 33,200 servicemen during the entire period of fighting in the Kursk direction.
Ukrainian militants attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The operation to destroy the AFU continues.
