Ambassador Andreev accused Poland of failing to comply with laws on mercenaries

The Polish authorities do not comply with the legislation of their own state, which prescribes criminal liability for mercenarism, Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergey Andreyev said in a conversation with Izvestiya on November 17.
According to him, the Russian Defense Ministry periodically publishes data on foreign mercenaries from different states in the ranks of the AFU.
"As for the Polish authorities and the Polish information space in general, this topic is under a tacit ban here. <...> Polish law prohibits the participation of Polish citizens in foreign armed formations in hostilities outside the territory of Poland without the authorization of the Polish authorities," Andreev said.
He noted that Poland simply turns a blind eye to this law.
Andreev said that two years ago a group of MPs in Poland introduced a bill to decriminalize participation in hostilities in Ukraine, but this initiative was never implemented.
According to the politician, this topic is not covered in any way by the Polish mass media and is not commented on by the local authorities.

In May this year, military expert Alexei Gusev told Izvestia that more than 13,000 foreign mercenaries have come to Ukraine during the entire time of the NWO, with the largest group coming from Poland.
The day before, on November 16, RMF 24 radio reported that the project to create a military detachment of Ukrainians living in Poland had failed. It is noted that less than 30 people are ready for training, so it has not started and will not start if the situation does not change.
Before that, on November 15, Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Vladyslav Kosiniak-Kamysh said that the Ukrainian authorities have a "short memory" because they do not remember the assistance that Warsaw provided them. According to him, Warsaw "did and continues to do everything possible". Kosyniak-Kamysh said this in the context of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zielenski 's accusation (his term expired on 20 May) that Poland was not doing everything it could.
