In 70% of companies in Russia in 2024, salaries have increased. This follows from the data of the recruiting company get experts, which were reviewed by Izvestia on November 18. The survey involved 3,348 respondents: 837 employers and 2,511 specialists from various regions.

According to experts, most often - in 45% of cases - their increase was due to an increase in salary or salary and bonus at once (41%), 13% of employers limited themselves to an increase in bonuses. In 51% of cases, income growth amounted to 5-10%, in 37% - 10-20%, and in 9% - 21% or more.

At the same time, 58% of employers plan to increase salaries in 2025. 23% reported about maintaining the same level of salaries, 1% of companies will reduce the motivational part, and 13% of respondents found it difficult to answer.

In addition, 34% of employers specified that they will pay bonuses to all their employees at the end of 2024, in 26% of companies individual employees will receive them, and in 12% no one will receive them.

Speaking about changes in the number of employees in 2024, 39% of employers said that it has increased, 42% of employers said that it has not changed, 16% have reduced the number of employees, and 3% said that they have frozen their HR activities. Of this year's HR challenges, respondents most often cited staff shortages (65%), inflated candidate expectations (39%), turnover and retention (34%).

At the same time, 57% of surveyed professionals reported changes in their income this year: 47% of them increased their income, while 10% of them reduced it. Another 41% had the same income. However, 55% of employees said they were dissatisfied with their salaries, 38% said they were satisfied "in general", and only 7% were fully satisfied.

In addition, experts found that 68% of professionals believe it is currently possible or easy to find a job, while 24% believe it is difficult or impossible.

"Next year, the labor market will retain a strongly candidate-driven character. Professionals will retain a strong bargaining position, they will be able to consider several offers in parallel and dictate their terms. In such conditions employers will have to show a more flexible approach to hiring and consider alternative formats: remote, hybrid, project or part-time employment", - said Olga Shamber, General Director of the recruiting company get experts.

According to her, it may be more profitable for some companies to outsource the duties of some specialists rather than spend time and money on finding employees with the appropriate qualifications.

"Staff shortages are growing in almost all industries, so the issue of staff retention is not going anywhere and will become even more pressing than it is now. It is difficult to say how difficult 2025 will be for employers, but it will certainly not be easier than 2024, and we should be ready for it," - concluded Schamber.

Earlier, on October 29, it was reported that among employed Russians 37% of respondents positively perceive overtime, if the employer pays extra for them. And only 11% of employees are willing to perform overtime tasks without compensation. This is evidenced by the survey conducted by the analytical center "Consol.Pro". Residents of Kazan (40%), Krasnoyarsk (39%), Chelyabinsk (38%) and St. Petersburg (36%) are the most likely to face overtime.
