- The expert gave advice on methods of heating a private house without central heating

Winter is getting closer, which makes the problem of cold in a private house more and more urgent. Maxim Sokolov, an expert of VseInstrumenty.ru, told Izvestia on November 19 about methods of heating a country house without central heating.
According to him, such materials as tepofol, mineral wool, foam plastic, extruded polystyrene foam, polyurethane foam and ecowool can be used for external insulation of a private house.
"Before starting work, it is important to conduct a thorough inspection of the walls - to fix cracks, eliminate defects, check for mold or fungus," he warned.
The expert noted that the installation of insulating panels allows you to reduce heat loss. To begin with, it is necessary to carry out marking. Depending on the materials, the panels are installed on special glue, dowels or other fasteners. It is important to fill the seams between the panels with facade assembly foam or sealants to minimize heat exchange. It is also worth installing a vapor barrier on the inside of the insulation.
"After installing insulation, it is better to use decorative stucco, siding or other materials to protect the insulation from external influences. Also thermographic survey will help to identify possible problems with heat loss," Sokolov specified.
He pointed out that when buying equipment for space heating it is important to focus on the criteria of area and layout, as for large and multi-level houses may need a combined solution that includes several types of heating. In addition, it is worth considering the climate - for cold regions it is better to consider more powerful and efficient systems that can withstand temperature fluctuations.
Energy efficiency also plays an important role, as Sokolov emphasized. The greater it is, the lower the heating costs.
"For safe operation of the heating system, it is important to perform regular maintenance, especially for gas and solid fuel boilers. Thermostats will help control the temperature in the room. Also, you should not forget about ventilation," he noted.
The expert pointed out that good insulation, thermostats and alternative energy sources, such as solar collectors for heating, will help to reduce energy consumption.
According to Sokolov, it is possible to retain heat in the house by insulating not only the walls but also the roof, installing ventilation valves, eliminating gaps and purchasing additional heaters, such as infrared heaters.
In September, Fyodor Vasiliev, an expert on building materials, founder and CEO of Glavsnab, gave advice on preparing a dacha plot for the onset of cold weather. He told Izvestia that it is necessary to put humus and fertilizers in the beds. In addition, the expert advised to carry out a general cleaning of the house and pay special attention to the kitchen, namely the stove, dining table, and shelves where food was stored.
