Deputy Minister of Science spoke about the course "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood"

The course "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood" is harmoniously integrated into the programs of the country's universities. This was announced on September 26 by Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Olga Petrova.

According to her, thousands of professors, associate professors and assistants took part in the creation of the subject. It was made by the scientific community, she emphasized.

"Many thousands of associate professors, assistant professors, professors, leaders of directions, who led our modules, took part in the creation of the course, and this is our teaching community made this course so that it quietly found its place, a very confident place in the educational programs of the first year, and already last year 80% of universities implemented it," Petrova said.

She specified that the course is being developed and finalized. The strength of the course is in its interdisciplinarity, the deputy minister noted.

"Some format of flexibility we also provided within the framework of the implementation of this course, and this, in our opinion, made it harmoniously embedded in the systems that already existed," Petrova added.

The course "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood" was launched on September 1, 2023 by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The subject is taught in the first year of educational programs of bachelor's degree and specialization, regardless of the direction of training of students.
