14 Moscow parks will be more than 50 years old this year, Mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin said in his Telegram channel. The capital city mayor told about the history of the most outstanding Moscow parks.

Tagansky Park celebrates its 90th anniversary this year. It was founded in 1934 at the working club named after N.I. Bukharin and immediately became the center of cultural and sports life of the Tagansky district. Soccer players Konstantin Beskov and Alexei Khomich, USSR tennis champion Nikolai Ozerov and Olympic figure skating champion Irina Rodnina started their sports careers here.

130 years ago, the Hermitage Garden was opened to Moscow residents. Fyodor Chaliapin, Leonid Sobinov, Antonina Nezhdanova sang on the Hermitage stage, and conductor Sergei Rachmaninoff made his debut. Today the Hermitage Garden is a protected monument of garden and park art. It is regularly renovated and landscaped. Concerts, performances and festivals are held here.

The history of the estate "Vorontsovo" is already five centuries old. Today the estate park is a favorite place of rest for Muscovites. The 40.7 hectare territory includes former manor buildings, a cascade of ponds, an oak grove, Italian and Chinese gardens.
