By 2030, the share of new trains in the Moscow subway will increase to 95%, said Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
According to him, today there are 6.6 thousand cars in the subway and 5 thousand of them are new generation trains. "By 2030 we plan to get about 2 thousand more cars," - wrote Sobyanin in his Telegram.
He recalled that in March, innovative trains of the "Moscow-2024" series came to the Zamoskvoretskaya line. The composition is characterized by wide doors, good noise insulation and comfortable microclimate, which is provided by powerful air conditioners with the function of air disinfection. The train also has equipment for charging gadgets.
At present, trains of the "Moscow-2024" series are also running on the new Troitskaya branch line. Its first section with four stations ("Novatovskaya", "Peoples' Friendship University", "Generala Tyuleneva" and "Tyutchevskaya") was opened in early September.
In recent years, the network of the capital's subway has grown 1.8 times. 119 metro and MCC stations and several lines of the Moscow Central Diameters (MCD) were built in the city.
