A woman was detained in Khabarovsk for justifying terrorism

Employees of the Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in Khabarovsk Krai detained a citizen of a Central Asian country on suspicion of justifying terrorism. This was reported in the press service of the agency on September 24.

"Employees of the FSSB of Russia in Khabarovsk Krai detained a citizen of one of the Central Asian countries involved in justification of terrorist activity," - stated in the press release.

It is reported that as a result of operational-search activities it was found that the woman detained by the officers justified the activities of an international terrorist organization on the Internet.

Based on the materials received, a criminal case was opened under part 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls for the implementation of terrorist activities, public justification of terrorism or propaganda, committed with the use of mass media or electronic or information and telecommunications networks, including the Internet").

It is specified that at the moment the woman is in custody.

Earlier in the day it became known about the detention of a resident of Donetsk on suspicion of involvement in terrorism. As established by the investigation, the curators from Ukraine instructed the man to perform surveillance of cars of the Russian military.

Before that, on September 16, a resident of Nizhny Novgorod Region was arrested for working for the Ukrainian organization Legion "Freedom of Russia" (recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia). According to the special service, the man established contacts with the terrorist organization on his own initiative. He was detained while carrying out another assignment and is in custody by a court ruling.
