Ukrainian media reported explosions in Sumy and Cherkasy regions

Amid an air alert, explosions were heard in Sumy (Sumy Region) and Cherkasy Region. This was reported on September 24 by the Ukrainian publication Public in its Telegram channel.

In Cherkasy region there were two explosions with a difference of about half an hour.

According to the online map of the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation, an air alert has been declared in Sumy, Cherkasy, Kiev, Kharkiv regions of Ukraine and Kiev-controlled parts of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR).

The Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on the information about the explosions.

Earlier in the day, explosions were reported in the Poltava region.

Russian troops in October 2022 began strikes on military facilities and related energy and communications facilities in Ukraine. As explained by Russian President Vladimir Putin, this was a response to the terrorist actions of the Kiev regime.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
