The Federal Security Service (FSB) has made public an archive document on the killing of residents of the Ukrainian village of Skopov by Poles in March 1945. This was reported by the Federal Security Service (FSB).

As the agency informs, on March 6, 1945 the village of Skopov was attacked by the so-called detachment of the "People's Guard". The bandit raid was led by Roman Kisel under the pseudonym "Semp".

The killing and torture of civilians in the village lasted for two weeks. As a result, about 200 civilians, including old men, women and children, were brutally murdered.

These facts are confirmed by publicized documents, the FSB declassified a number of letters. Thus, the detained letters of engineer Nikolai Demyanchik addressed to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia tell about the brutal murder of his father (a priest), members of his family, other priests and civilians of the village of Skopov, located 27 kilometers west of the city of Peremyshl. The total number of victims is 200.

"My father, an 81-year-old sick old man, was put into a bed where he was killed with a knife, with his eyes gouged out. My sister Miroslava was left with a solid bloody mask instead of her head. All members of my family were swimming in their own blood in the true sense of the word," Demyanchyk wrote.

Lieutenant Colonel Medvedev, who detained the letters, also reported confirmation of this information by a number of other sources.

Earlier, on September 7, specialists of the Russian FSB department in the DNR handed over to the Donetsk Museum of the Great Patriotic War documents on the case of the victims of the Nazi occupiers at the mine No. 4/4-bis in the city of Stalino in 1941-1943. They were declassified in honor of the celebration of the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Donbass from Nazi invaders on September 8.
