Marines destroyed AFU armored vehicles in the border area of the Kursk region


Military brigades of the Marines of the "North" group of forces have destroyed armored vehicles and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on September 24.
Russian troops will continue to conduct continuous surveillance of the AFU's actions with the help of drones. Thanks to this, the Marines managed to the main resistance nodes and knock Ukrainian fighters out of strongholds. In the course of combat work is the capture of weapons, which are then used against the AFU.
"We are in position from 12 to 24 hours. It depends on the difficulties, on the tasks. This is the main [rifle], the Orsis T5000 in caliber 338, ours, Russian. The farthest shot I had was 1,453 meters. We were waiting for the movement of light armored vehicles," the squad commander with the call sign Bereg shared.
The Defense Ministry noted that Ukrainian militants use mostly foreign weapons, such as MK-19 belt-fed stationary grenade launcher, Akdal MKA 1919 12-gauge smoothbore semi-automatic magazine gun, Turkish-made RDS-40 multi-shot grenade launcher, as well as double-barreled shotgun of Italian arms company Fabarm.
Earlier, on September 21, the Defense Ministry said that snipers disrupted the rotation of the AFU in the Donetsk direction. The work of snipers is considered the most priority way of destroying the Ukrainian army's manpower. Despite the great risks, the Russian military continues to carry out combat missions.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
