A critical infrastructure facility in Kiev-controlled Zaporizhzhya has been damaged after an explosion and a fire. This was reported on September 23 by Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhya regional military administration appointed by the Ukrainian authorities.
"A hit on a critical infrastructure facility. Started a fire, which was promptly extinguished," - stated in his message in Telegram-channel.
Also the Ukrainian edition "Strana.ua" noted that in some areas of the city there were power outages.
Earlier in the day Fedorov reported about a series of explosions in the part of Zaporizhzhya region controlled by the Kiev regime. In addition, according to the Ukrainian daily Strana.ua, explosions were also heard in Sumy and in Chernihiv region in northern Ukraine. An air alert was declared in the regions.
Russian troops in October 2022 began striking military facilities and related energy and communication facilities in Ukraine. As explained by Russian President Vladimir Putin, this was a response to the terrorist actions of the Kiev regime.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region.
