The case of AFU Colonel Yaroshevich, involved in the attack near Belgorod, has been sent to court

A criminal case with an indictment against Fyodor Yaroshevych, a colonel and commander of the 19th separate missile brigade of Ukraine (listed as a terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation), who was involved in the strikes on Belgorod Region, has been sent to a military court. This was reported by the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia on September 23.

The serviceman is accused in absentia of committing a number of terrorist acts under paragraph "b" part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of Russia (CC RF) ("Training for the purpose of terrorist activity").

The investigation found that in 2022, Yaroshevich acted as part of an organized group together with certain representatives of Ukraine's top military and political leadership and gave orders to the Ukrainian military to launch strikes with Tochka-U missiles on the territory of the Belgorod region.

"As a result of terrorist acts committed by Yaroshevich, civilians were killed and injured, and the amount of property damage caused exceeded 1.3 billion rubles," the agency said in a statement in its Telegram channel.

Earlier, on August 20, Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Fyodor Yaroshevich was put on the list of terrorists and extremists. In April 2022, the Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested him in absentia in the case of shelling the train station in Kramatorsk in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR).

Therocket attack on the Kramatorsk train station was carried out on April 8, 2022. Civilians were killed. The DNR authorities called what happened a terrorist attack.
