The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) shelled the village of Arkhangelskoye in the Shebekinsky district of Belgorod Region, three civilians, including a child, were killed. This was reported by the Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov on September 23.
"The village came under the shelling of the AFU. From the enemy strike killed residents - two adults and a teenager. This is an irreparable loss for all of us," Gladkov wrote in his Telegram channel.
The governor offered condolences to the families and friends of the victims and said that two more people, a boy and a man, were injured. The child has a mine blast injury and shrapnel wounds, the adult has a chest injury and a shrapnel wound to the thigh. They have been hospitalized in regional hospitals.
Gladkov added that operational services are working at the site of the shelling, information about its consequences is being clarified.
Earlier in the day, Gladkov said that the town of Gubkin in Belgorod Region was attacked by an AFU drone. 10 cars and glazing of six apartments in three apartment buildings were damaged.
The day before, on September 22, the AFU shelled the village of Cheremoshnoye in the Belgorod region, 12 people were injured. Gladkov said that seven of them are in hospital, three have been operated on. Among the wounded there are self-defense fighters, one of them is in serious condition, two are in moderate condition.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
