The descent vehicle of the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft with Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko, Nikolai Chub, who spent one year on the International Space Station (ISS), as well as American astronaut Tracy Dyson landed in Kazakhstan. This was reported by the state corporation Roscosmos on September 23.
"At 14:59 Moscow time, the descent vehicle of the ship "Soyuz MS-25" with the participants of the 70th and 71st long-term expeditions cosmonauts <...> Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub, <...> as well as NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson landed near the Kazakh city of Zhezkazgan," - stated on the website of "Roscosmos".
It is noted that before landing the ship successfully undocked from the Russian node module "Berth". Its deorbiting and descent to Earth went smoothly.
Before that, on September 20, the state corporation reported that Kononenko and Chub set a record for the duration of a single flight on the ISS program. At 16:06:51 Moscow time on Friday they exceeded the figure set earlier by cosmonauts Sergei Prokopyev, Dmitry Petelin and astronaut Francisco Rubio, which amounted to 370 days 21 hours 22 minutes 16 seconds. Thus, on September 23, the new record holders returned to Earth after flying for 374 days.
Earlier, on September 11, the Soyuz MS-26 spacecraft was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome . The purpose of the rocket's departure is designated to deliver three members of the ISS-71/72 expeditions to the ISS. The main crew includes two cosmonauts of Roscosmos - Alexey Ovchinin and Ivan Wagner - as well as NASA astronaut Donald Pettit.
