The drummer of pop group ABBA Roger Palm died at the age of 75. About it on September 23 wrote the Swedish evening newspaper Aftonbladet.

The musician died on September 21, he had a complication of Alzheimer's disease.

"He was a warm and humble guy who was always protective of friends and family. He will be sorely missed and he leaves behind a huge void. We will all remember him with a warm heart," the publication quotes a statement from his family.

Palm was born in 1949. His professional career began in the band The Skymen, and in the mid-1960s he began touring the country with a dance orchestra. The drummer played in the Gimmicks, Beatmakers and Moonlighters, but is best known as the drummer for ABBA. His music can be heard in the songs Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Take a Chance on Me, Thank You for the Music and others that have become iconic in the Swedish band's repertoire.
