The most popular sectors for the self-employed in Russia have been named

The most self-employed in Russia work in the field of repair - more than 807 thousand people. This follows from the data of the analytical portal of the Federal Tax Service (FTS), which were reviewed by Izvestia on September 23.

In second place is the automotive industry (700 thousand people), followed by the IT-sector (496 thousand), as well as the beauty industry (409 thousand).

As of September, more than 11.2 million self-employed are registered in the Russian Federation, follows from the information of the Federal Tax Service. Since the beginning of the fall, 78 thousand people have switched to this mode.

Earlier, on August 28, it became known that in Russia proposed to improve control over the field of labor law, in particular gray salaries "in envelopes" and the transfer of employees to the status of the self-employed. It is proposed to expand the list of risk indicators that signal possible violations of mandatory requirements in the field of labor law. They are developed by departments, agreed by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

Previously, July 23, it was reported that the number of self-employed under 18 years of age in the country in 2023 amounted to almost 150 thousand people, which is one and a half times more than it was in 2022. Mostly young people work in the service sector - waiters, couriers, as well as in SMM and design. Experts suggested that the positive dynamics is due to the desire of teenagers to be financially independent.
