A criminal case has been opened against the vandal who vandalized Maslyakov's grave


A criminal case has been opened against a young man who vandalized the grave of TV presenter Alexander Maslyakov in Moscow. This was reported to TASS by law enforcement agencies on September 23.
The detainee faces up to three months of arrest or a fine of up to 40,000 rubles.
"A criminal case has been opened against a young man born in 2004 under part 1. art. 244 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Desecration of the bodies of the dead and their burial places")", - said the interlocutor of the agency.
The smashing of the grave of the TV presenter was reported the day before. As specified, a young man came to the burial site, ripped out the cross, scattered flowers and moved photos. According to him, Maslyakov is "unworthy to lie there". The intruder was detained. The police indicated that the man attacked the grave under the influence of drugs.
The death of the KVN host at the 83rd year of life became known on September 8. Maslyakov was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery on September 11. Condolences to the family and loved ones were expressed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as Russian actors, folk artists and politicians.
