- Russian Armed Forces fighters told about the progress of the fight against the AFU on the Sudzhensky direction

In Kursk Region, the Russian army repulsed three attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) to break through the border in the direction of Novy Put and Medvezhye. Unlike in Donbass, maneuver battles are still going on here, there is no solid front line, and both sides periodically launch attacks. "Izvestia" learned how our fighters stopped Ukrainian columns of armored vehicles.
"The fighting starts at four in the morning and ends at one o'clock in the morning. And so without a break for several weeks. Here and now we have artillery working, we grind the enemy," - said the commander of the intelligence group of special forces "Akhmat" with the call sign Ayd.
The command post is in a room that is lit by several light bulbs. To the left are walkie-talkies and large monitors with video feeds from UAVs. Sitting at the desk, you can see the battlefield and even the enemy's near rear. The task of the UAV operators, who work closer to the front line, is to provide a picture so that commanders understand the situation. The screens are monitored by a fighter with the call sign Artist, and he calls the commander if necessary.
On the screen you can see how in the middle of one of the landings begin to grow mushrooms of explosions. This is our artillery leveling the enemy positions, says Artist.
"Large-caliber guns are working - 152 mm," he explains.
Someone of the fighters remarks that now, if compared to the first days, it has become easier.
"Yes, now they don't have such forces to attack and fight like that, as in the first days. I think they won't be able to, because that's it," says one of the fighters.
