Parents of children killed by poisoning in Krasnoyarsk region regained consciousness

Parents of four children, who died of poisoning after a dinner with chicken and dumplings in Krasnoyarsk Krai, regained consciousness. This was reported to "Izvestia" on September 23 in the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the IC of Russia for Krasnoyarsk Krai and Khakassia.

It is noted that soon they will be questioned by investigative officers.

On the eve of the SK said that the cause of poisoning of the family in the Krasnoyarsk region, which ate for dinner dumplings and chicken, was an unidentified toxic substance. It added that additional research will be conducted to establish the exact cause of death.

The poisoning of a family with four children in the village of Krasnaya Sopka in Krasnoyarsk Krai was reported on September 21. The family sought medical help at the hospital with signs of nausea and vomiting. As a result of a sharp deterioration of health, the minor brother and sister died. Later, on September 22, a third child died, and on September 23, a fourth child died. The adults were in serious condition.

In connection with the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Production, storage or sale of goods and products that do not meet the safety requirements of life or health of consumers, causing the death of two persons by negligence").

The State Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region said that the products, which are believed to have poisoned the family, were bought in one of the stores in the village, its owner was questioned and the products were seized. The agency said that the mother of the dead children is nine months pregnant.

According to Izvestiya's source, the family members may have mistakenly consumed pesticides, confusing them with seasoning.
