Over Donetsk and Makeyevka, 82 AFU drone attacks thwarted during the week


Over the past week, the Russian military foiled 82 terrorist attacks by Ukrainian drones in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). This was reported on September 23 by Arina Klepanova, the official representative of the Russian Federal Security Service's directorate for the DNR.
"Over the past week, the system of airspace protection and electronic warfare "Dome of Donbass" over Donetsk and Makeyevka thwarted 82 terrorist attacks by Ukrainian drones," she said.
It is noted that a Ukrainian FPV drone planning an attack on a regional energy complex facility was intercepted in the Kuibyshev district of Donetsk.
In the Kirovsky district of Donetsk, explosive technicians of the FSS of Russia for the DNR neutralized a drone with a shock charge near one of the medical institutions. Specialists with the help of technical means neutralized the drones and destroyed the military charges on the spot.
"Thanks to the coordinated work of our defenders and the timely response of citizens, the places where the drones fell were promptly identified. There were no casualties among civilians and damage to infrastructure", - summarized in the FSSB.
On September 18, it was reported that in Donetsk, thanks to the system of airspace protection and electronic warfare (REB) managed to prevent an attack by a Ukrainian FPV drone on an energy facility.
Before that, on September 9, Oksana Semesenko, the official representative of the FSSB of Russia in the DNR, reported that during the week the system of airspace protection and electronic warfare "Donbass Dome" over Donetsk and Makeyevka had thwarted 150 attacks by AFU drones. There were no civilian casualties or damage to infrastructure.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
