Air defense units destroyed three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over Rostov region around midnight. This was reported by the head of the region Vasily Golubev on September 23 in his Telegram-channel.

"Around midnight in the area of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky air defense units worked on aerial targets, destroying three UAVs. As a result of falling debris in the field there was a fire of dry vegetation," the governor said in a statement.

He added that on-duty rescue units went to the site of the fire. There are no casualties and destruction.

On September 22, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that overnight air defense means destroyed 15 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions and the waters of the Sea of Azov. Thus, six UAVs were shot down over the waters of the Sea of Azov, four - over the territory of the Rostov region, two - over the territory of the Kursk region, one each over the territories of the Astrakhan, Belgorod and Voronezh regions.

On the same day, Golubev reported that dry vegetation caught fire when UAV debris fell in a field. There were no casualties or damage as a result of the attack.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
