In Pakistan, a car escorting the delegation, including the Russian ambassador, was blown up by a mine

The escort vehicle of the delegation, which included Russian Ambassador Albert Khorev in Pakistan, was blown up by a mine. This was reported on September 22 on the website of the diplomatic mission in the social network X (former Twitter).

As a result of the explosion, police officers were injured. According to Daily Pakistan, one of the representatives of law enforcement agencies died in hospital. Representatives of the diplomatic corps were not injured.

According to the Russian Embassy in Pakistan, on the same day, Khorev, as part of a delegation of ambassadors from several countries, took part in a tourism development forum in the Swat Valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The event was organized by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Albert Khorev was appointed Russian Ambassador to Pakistan by presidential decree on November 10, 2023.
