Defense Ministry shows footage of the destruction of an AFU tank by drones in the Kursk border area

The Russian Defence Ministry has published footage of objective control over the destruction of a tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) by FPV drones in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported by the ministry on September 22.

In the course of reconnaissance activities, servicemen of the "North" group of troops with the help of a drone detected the movement of an AFU tank while trying to break through to one of the settlements in the Kursk border area.

After analyzing the data received, members of the Russian Armed Forces decided to fire on the enemy combat vehicle. As a result of two precise hits by FPV drones, the tank of Ukrainian fighters was destroyed.

The footage shows a direct hit by the combat drones, an explosion and fire at the site of the tank's destruction.

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry showed footage ofthe destruction of fortified positions of the Ukrainian army in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). The strikes were carried out by self-propelled mortars 2S4 "Tulpan" of the group of troops "West".

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
