- Embassy looks into the situation with the ban on Russians getting off the ferry in South Korea

The Russian embassy in South Korea is investigating the circumstances under which the country's authorities denied Russian tourists entry and prevented them from disembarking from the ferry in Tonghae. This was reported in the diplomatic mission on Sunday, September 22.
"The embassy is clarifying the circumstances of the incident, establishing contact with local authorities, from whom they intend to promptly demand explanations regarding the circumstances of what happened," the embassy told TASS.
The day before, on September 21, the seaside media outlet VL.ru reported that several dozen Russians who arrived in South Korea by ferry from Vladivostok were denied entry into the country. They are now locked in their cabins and waiting for the ferry to return. The tourists told the publication that they do not understand the reasons why they were not allowed to enter the Republic of Korea.
Earlier, on September 12, it was reported that a Russian man and his daughter were not allowed into Georgia from Turkey because they were registered in the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR). The Russian Embassy in Turkey told Izvestia that this was not an isolated case and Georgia was selective in allowing Russians to enter its territory. The diplomatic mission said that they were working to solve the problem of the resident of the Russian region.
