The Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday, September 22, published footage of a US-made 105-mm towed howitzer L119 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) being hit near the Petropavlovka settlement in Kharkiv Region.
The enemy's equipment was detected as a result of reconnaissance activities in a forest belt in Kharkiv region.
As a result of an accurate Lancet strike, the howitzer caught fire. The artillery piece was hit, the Russian Defense Ministry concluded.
Earlier, on September 17, the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) defeated a temporary deployment point of the AFU military in the village of Petropavlovka, Kharkiv Region, with precise airstrikes. After the targets were identified, they were hit with precision strikes. Objective control means confirmed the elimination of the buildings that Ukrainian militants used to house their personnel.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
