The Russian military destroyed the AFU's Akatsiya SAU with a Lancet munition


The Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday, September 22, published footage of the destruction of a self-propelled howitzer (SAU) 2S3 "Akatsiya" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) by a Lancet barrage munition in the border area of the Kursk Region.
The enemy's equipment was detected as a result of continuous reconnaissance activities by one of the units of the "North" group of troops in one of the forests in the border area of Kursk Region.
A direct hit by a Lancet resulted in the detonation of the SAU's ammunition pack. The ground target was destroyed.
Earlier, on September 20, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of objective control anddestruction of an AFU tank by FPV drones in the border area of Kursk region. As follows from the video, the footage was taken from cameras mounted on FPV drones. It follows from the objective control footage that the precise hits of the drones led to the explosion of the tank and detonation of its ammunition.
Ukrainian militants attacked Russian positions in the border region of Kursk on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The operation to destroy AFU formations continues.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
