A memorial service for the victims of the terrorist attack at Crocus was held in Krasnogorsk

On Sunday, September 22, a memorial service for those killed in the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall near Moscow was held in the St. Nicholas Cathedral in Krasnogorsk.

The service was attended by dozens of concerned believers who wanted to honor the memory of the victims of terrorists. The memorial service is dedicated to the half year since the tragedy.

Earlier, on September 15, the rector of St. Nicholas Cathedral, Vasily Losev, explained that the half-year anniversary is not a date particularly singled out by Orthodoxy for remembering the deceased, but for people who have lost their loved ones, the first year has a special meaning to come to terms with the loss, so any moment is important to pray for the dead.

Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov ruled out building a new concert hall at the site of Crocus on June 29. According to him, a memorial square may be made on the site of the terrorist attack.

The terrorist attack in "Crocus City Hall" took place on March 22. Terrorists in camouflage burst into the building, they organized shooting and set fire to the concert hall. As a result of the attack, 145 people were killed, 551 suffered.

A criminal case was opened under Article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Terrorist Act"). The Federal Security Service of Russia reported that after the terrorist attack the attackers were going to cross the border between Russia and Ukraine, they had contacts on the Ukrainian side.

On June 1, it was reported that more than 1.7 thousand people were recognized as victims in the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall near Moscow. The same day, it became known that 20 defendants were charged in the case of the terrorist attack , 18 of whom were arrested and two others are on a recognizance of not being released.
