Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, during the day the Russian Armed Forces (AF) struck military airfields of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and hit energy facilities that support the work of its military-industrial complex (MIC).

In the area of responsibility of the "North" group, the enemy lost up to 160 servicemen, an infantry fighting vehicle, two vehicles, a 152-mm D-20 gun and two 122-mm D-30 howitzers.

In addition, units of the "South" group took more favorable lines and positions, the AFU lost up to 560 servicemen. The "West" group of forces defeated four Ukrainian brigades, the enemy lost up to 420 soldiers and five ammunition depots.

The "Center" fighters continued advancing deep into the enemy's defenses and defeated 10 AFU brigades, including special forces. The grouping repelled 11 counterattacks by AFU groups, including special forces of the SDF center, the enemy lost up to 445 troops.

The grouping of troops "East", in turn, defeated three Ukrainian brigades, the enemy lost up to 145 soldiers, and in the area of responsibility of the grouping "Dnipro" the AFU lost more than 60 soldiers during the day.

It is also reported that the Russian air defense system shot down six HIMARS shells, six Hammer bombs and 106 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the AFU over the day.

In total, 646 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 32,089 UAVs, 579 anti-aircraft missile systems, 18,325 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,457 multiple rocket launchers, 15,025 field artillery and mortars, 26,370 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
