An outbreak of fuel vapors on a gasoline tanker could have caused a fire at a gas station in Novoselitsky District of Stavropol Territory. This is reported on September 22 by the regional Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.

"According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire could be the outbreak of fuel vapors on the gasoline tanker," - said in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

As a result of the fire, the driver of the gasoline truck was injured, as well as the operator of the gas station. In addition, damage was caused to a nearby car.

"The injured were taken to a medical facility, where they received the necessary assistance. At present, their lives are not threatened," - indicated the law enforcers.

On the fact of the incident, a check under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet the requirements of safety of life or health of consumers) was organized.

According to the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the open burning was eliminated by 23:40 on September 21.

The fire of a gasoline truck and a gas station in Stavropol became known in the evening of September 21. As noted by representatives of the regional prosecutor's office, law enforcers are conducting an inspection, the causes and circumstances of the incident are being established.
