In Kazan, a man died when a motorboat collided with a pier. About it on Saturday, September 21, reported in the press service of the central interregional investigative Department on transport of the Russian Federation IC.

"According to preliminary information, in the evening in Kazan at the boat station "Venice" motorboat collided with the pier and overturned. As a result of the incident, five men ended up in the water. A man born in 1987 died, four men were rescued," the department said in a statement in its Telegram channel.

An inspection is being conducted on the fact of violation of the rules of safety of movement and operation of water transport (Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

Earlier, on August 2, it became known about the rescue of two fishermen in the Shilka district of the Zabaikalsky Krai, who found themselves on an island in the middle of the Shilka River. Their boat overturned and drowned. Both fishermen were without life jackets.
