Air defense means have destroyed a Ukrainian drone over the territory of Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on September 21.

"The attempt of the Kiev regime to commit a terrorist attack c using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the aircraft type on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation is suppressed", - informed the press service in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

It is specified that the drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was liquidated at 20:10 Moscow time.

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported the destruction of two Ukrainian drones over the territories of Belgorod and Kursk regions. The attack attempts were foiled between 12:00 and 14:00 Moscow time.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
