Air defense forces shot down two Ukrainian UAVs over Belgorod and Kursk regions


Russian air defense forces have destroyed two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the territories of Belgorod and Kursk regions. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Saturday, September 21.
"From 12:00 to 14:00 Moscow time suppressed attempts of the Kiev regime to commit terrorist attacks with the use of UAV aircraft type on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Department.
Earlier in the day it was reported that the air defense forces during the past night destroyed 101 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over Russian regions and the Sea of Azov. As noted, 53 UAVs were intercepted and destroyed over the territory of Bryansk region, 18 over the territory of Krasnodar region, five over the territory of Kaluga region, three UAVs each over the territories of Tver and Belgorod regions, one UAV each over the territories of Smolensk, Kursk regions and the Republic of Crimea, and 16 UAVs over the waters of the Sea of Azov.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
