Zemfira and Pokrovsky failed in court to challenge their foreign agent status

The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has refused to consider the complaints of singer Zemfira Ramazanova and the leader of the rock group Nogu Svelo Maxim Pokrovsky (recognized as foreign agents in the Russian Federation) against the refusal to exclude them from the register of foreign agents. The relevant documents were published on the website of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
It is specified that the complaint of the musician was registered on August 13, and the singer on September 15.
"Refused to transfer the complaint or representation of the prosecutor for consideration in a court session," - said in the card of cases.
The Russian Justice Ministry included Zemfira in the register of foreign agents on February 10, 2023. The singer openly supported Ukraine in the conflict, performing concert activities in unfriendly countries with calls against the special operation to protect the peaceful population of Donbass, the artist also received material assistance from foreign sources.
The Ministry of Justice included Pokrovsky in the register of foreign agents on March 31, 2023. The ministry noted that he openly supported Ukraine and took part in fundraising for it, interacted with foreign structures and spoke negatively about Russians.
On December 1, 2022, the law regulating the activities of citizens recognized as foreign agents came into force in Russia. Since then, the relevant register has become unified. The procedure for inclusion in this list has also changed. An individual can be recognized as a foreign agent regardless of his or her citizenship, and in the case of legal entities, their organizational and legal forms will no longer be taken into account.
