Perepelin: drone attack recorded in Tikhoretsk, Krasnodar Territory

In the city of Tikhoretsk, Krasnodar region, a drone attack was recorded. This was reported by the head of the Tikhoretsk district Anatoly Perepelin on September 21.

"In Tikhoretsk recorded an attack of drones. Please remain calm, do not go out into the open countryside!" - he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratiev said in his Telegram channel that two Ukrainian drones were suppressed by air defense and electronic warfare. Falling debris from one of these drones caused a fire that spread to explosive objects and they began detonating.

Kondratyev said that because of this it was decided to temporarily evacuate the residents of the settlement, which is located near the fire site. A temporary accommodation center has been set up in Tikhoretsk. Fire brigades are fighting the fire.

The head of the region added that Perepelin is at the scene and reports on the development of the situation. Preliminary, due to the fall of the drone debris and the fire, residents of the Tikhoretsk district were not injured.

On this day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that overnight over the regions of the Russian Federation and the Sea of Azov air defense forces shot down 101 Ukrainian drone. Thus, 53 UAVs were intercepted and destroyed over the territory of the Bryansk region, 18 - over the Krasnodar region, five - over the Kaluga region, three drones each over the territories of the Tver and Belgorod regions, one drone each over the territories of the Smolensk, Kursk regions and the Republic of Crimea. In addition, 16 UAVs were shot down over the waters of the Sea of Azov.

Before that, on the evening of September 20, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, said that air defense forces had repelled an attack by Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) drones in the region and shot down two drones.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
