What time will the Rostral Columns be lit in the evening

One of the striking traditions of the Navy Day in the Northern Capital is the lighting of Rostral Columns. Huge torches are lit on them only on special occasions. For example, in 2024, lights were lit in honor of the 10th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with Russia and on Victory Day.

On July 28, the torches on the Rostral Columns will be lit twice. The first time was at 10:00 Moscow time during the Navy parade. The second time in the evening is at 21:00. The fire will burn for two and a half hours.

A salute in honor of Navy Day on July 28 will be launched from the territory of the Peter and Paul Fortress. The light show will begin at 22:30 Moscow time, after the end of the main concert program.
