Happy Russia Day: beautiful greeting cards, greetings in prose

Russia Day, the main national holiday, is celebrated throughout the country on June 12, symbolizing the birth of the modern Russian state, sovereignty and prosperity of the country. Every year, celebrations take place on the same date, bringing together millions of Russians from different cities. Traditionally, Russia Day is a non-working and festive day. Izvestia has prepared beautiful postcards and congratulations on Russia Day, which can be shared with friends and family.
In 2025, June 12 falls on Thursday, but due to the postponement of the weekend from March 8, Russians will rest for four consecutive days, from June 12 to June 15.
Beautiful postcards with Russia Day – 2025
On the eve of the holiday, the streets of Russian cities are noticeably transformed. Everywhere you can see greeting stands and tricolours fluttering in the wind. Activists are distributing white, blue and red ribbons as part of the Russian Tricolor campaign, which Russians attach to clothes, bags and cars.
Festivals, flash mobs, exhibitions and many other events are organized all over Russia. The Kremlin is awarding prominent figures of science, culture and the humanitarian sphere. A large festive concert is being organized on Red Square on Russia Day, attracting tens of thousands of spectators. In the evening, fireworks are launched in the capital and other cities, which ends the festive day.
At the same time, the tradition of widely celebrating the holiday did not develop immediately. For the first time, Russia Day was celebrated only with a solemn ceremony of awarding State Prizes in the Kremlin. And mass celebrations on the occasion of the significant date were held on June 12, 2003. It was then that Russia Day was celebrated on Red Square for the first time.
Today, the festivities continue from morning until late at night. People congratulate each other on the holiday and send greeting cards in messengers and social networks. Postcards dedicated to Russia Day often depict the national coat of arms and the tricolor. Other popular subjects include birch trees and field daisies.
