The celebration reminds of the importance of solidarity in difficult times and becomes a symbol of unity and patriotism. In honor of the significant date, the Victory Day Parade, a public procession of military personnel and military equipment, traditionally takes place on Red Square in Moscow on May 9. A mechanized column led by a T-34 tank passed through the square next, while modern equipment was also demonstrated to the audience. The culmination of the parade was the performance of the Russian Air Force.
