Exam schedule 2025 — dates of exams and retakes
The Ministry of Education and Rospotrebnadzor approved the draft schedule of the Unified State Exam (USE) for 2025. Izvestia reports on the dates on which former students will have to write exams and when they can sign up for retake.
The main stage of the Unified State Exam 2025 — schedule
The exams will begin on May 23rd. History, literature, and chemistry tests will be conducted on this date.
An exam in basic and specialized mathematics is scheduled for May 27. In three days, on May 30, graduates will have to take the Unified State Exam in Russian.
The first summer exams are physics and social studies. The students will write them on June 2.
On June 5, graduates will take biology and geography classes. The oral part of the foreign language exam will also be held on the same day.
The written part will be held on June 10-11 along with computer science exams.
All exams start at 10:00 a.m. local time.
There are also reserve days:
- June 16 — Geography, literature, social studies, physics;
- June 17 — Russian language;
- June 18 — Foreign languages (oral part), history, chemistry;
- June 19 — Biology, foreign languages (written part), computer science;
- June 20 — Unified State Exam in basic level mathematics, Unified State Exam in core level mathematics;
- June 23 — in all academic subjects.
Graduates of previous years will take the exam on these dates.
Retake of the Unified State Exam: application, dates
Starting in 2024, students can retake one of the exams before the end of the admission campaign. Two days have been allocated for retakes.:
- July 4 — Russian language, computer science, literature, physics, chemistry, foreign languages (written part);
- July 5 — biology, geography, mathematics (basic and profile level), history, social studies and oral part in foreign languages.
To sign up for a retake, you must wait for the exam results. If the number of points turned out to be unsatisfactory, the graduate has the right to apply to the local branch of the state examination commission. You can find out his address on the website of the Regional Information Processing Center (RCOI).
Applications for retake begin six days before the repeat exam and end two days before it. It is important to keep in mind that by signing this document, the graduate renounces the previous result. Even if there are even fewer points the second time, the score will be final.
The results of the tests will be known in time, allowing applicants to submit documents to the educational institutions of interest in a timely manner.
Additional period of the Unified State Exam
The additional period is intended for those who could not pass the required subjects during the regular time.
- September 4 — Russian language;
- September 8 — Basic level mathematics;
- September 23 — Unified State Exam in basic mathematics, Russian language.
The early exam period began on March 21. It will last until April 11. Graduates who have already mastered the curriculum and are ready for the exam, or, for example, students of colleges and technical schools, can take the exam ahead of schedule. The opportunity to write the exam ahead of schedule is also provided to graduates of previous years and schoolchildren who, for good reasons, cannot take part in the tests of the main period.
